Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun and the largest planet in the Solar System. Jupiter is classified as a gas giant along with Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. These four planets are sometimes referred to as the Jovian or outer planets.

Jupiter is primarily composed of hydrogen with a quarter of its mass being helium. It is a gas giant with mass one-thousandth that of the Sun but is two and a half times the mass of all the other planets in our Solar System

Jupiter is composed primarily of gaseous and liquid matter. The density is lower than any of the four terrestrial planets.

This planet dwarfs the Earth with a diameter 11 times as great, it is considerably less dense.
The temperature and pressure inside Jupiter increase steadily toward the core.

The best known feature of Jupiter planet is the Great Red Spot, a persistent anticyclonic storm that is larger than Earth,
