Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior is a Brazilian footballer who plays in the Brasileirão Série A for Santos and the Brazilian national team as a forward. At the age of 19, Neymar won the 2011 South American Footballer of the Year award.
Neymar joined Santos in 2003 and, after rising through the ranks, was promoted to their first team squad. He made his debut for Santos in 2009. On 10 August 2010, at the age of 18, he made his debut for the Seleção in a friendly match against the United States
