3D chat is an online virtual world that started re-development in 2009. It was relaunched into open beta in July 2010 and is a combination of a social network and an online virtual world that lets users interact via their personal avatars with other 3Dchat users in the online three dimensional community via the use of their Internet-capable computers.
3Dchat is intended for people over the age of 17 and has partnered with age verifications service providers Aristotle and VeryFY to ensure underage users do not gain access.
3Dchat provides users the capability to create a personal avatar which is a virtual representation their real world self while your in the 3Dchat. Users will have the ability to modify their body type, skin tone, shape, and face.
In addition to the virtual world, 3Dchat also launched a web based social network called My 3Dchat in 2009. This social network allows users to communicate and interact outside of the virtual space as well as offers a bridge between the internet and the virtual world itself.
